You: FieldMaxPro says I am some distance away from the Outlet ?!

Ans: Make sure you are at the outlet 


You: I’m at the outlet yet FieldMaxPro is still saying I am some distance away.

 

The most likely cause of this is that the Outlet was not properly geocoded, meaning that the Outlet coordinates are not correct. 


Follow the guidelines below to edit the outlet coordinates 

 

You: FieldMaxPro says Outlet's geolocation is empty.

Ans: It means the Outlet has not been geocoded. You have to edit the outlet. Follow the steps below to edit the Outlet. 


You: FieldMaxPro is yet to get the geolocation details of the selected outlet 

 

Ans: It means that FieldMaxPro is waiting for your device to report the device’s current location. Some devices are slow in reporting their location. Don’t close the app, wait a little while and try again. 

 

 

 

How to Edit Outlet GPS (Geocode an Outlet) 

1. Location service: Turn on  Location  (GPS) service on your device.

2. Outlets Module: Go to  Outlets  module on FieldMaxpro mobile app 

3. Select Outlets: From the list of Outlets, click the  specific Outlet  you want to Geocode 


4. Edit Outlet: Locate and click the edit  button  at the bottom right. 


NOTE: If you can not find the edit button, try the following below; 

=> Sync Outlets:

     a. Turn on your Internet connection  

     b. Go to Settings and Sync Outlets 

     c. Go back to check if you can now see the edit button 

=> Get Permission:

  >> If you still can’t see the edit button after a successful sync , it could be that you are not granted  permission  to edit outlet OR you are granted the permission but the outlet edit mode is turned off OR both.

What to do:

  a. Contact your supervisor and let him/her know that you still can’t find the edit button for the Outlet after you have done all the steps above. 


 

5. Also Edit Coordinates: You will get a dialog asking you if you also want to edit the  coordinates  of the Outlet, Click  Yes !

6. Confirm Location: You MUST be at the Outlet location when editing its coordinates, you will get another prompt asking if you are at the Outlet location. Click Yes if and only if you are at the Outlet location.


7. Get Coordinates: Then Wait for the device to automatically fetch and display the outlet coordinates. 

        > DEVICE YET TO GRAB THE COORDINATES 

        > DEVICE SUCCESSFULLY FETCHES AND DISPLAYS THE COORDINATES 


8. Save: Edit/change other details you want to change about the outlet and SAVE!


9. Sync Changes: To sync the edit with FieldMaxPro server, after you have edited and saved outlet you can

  • Turn on your internet connection
  • Go to  Settings on FieldMaxPro
  • Click Sync and wait for the sync to complete. 

Alternatively, the next time your FieldMaxPro successfully syncs, the edit made on the outlet will also sync with other data.
